Sustainable Cleaning Guidance Published

The joint BACS/UK Cleaning Products Industry Association (UKCPI) Public Procurement Task Force has published guidance on Sustainable Cleaning for users of professional cleaning products. This guidance addresses factors affecting the overall sustainability of cleaning and considers impacts at each stage of the life cycle of cleaning products from product design, raw materials selection and product manufacture to use and disposal. The guidance has been welcomed by Defra as part of its committment to support sustainable public procurement in the UK in line with its strategy for promoting sustainable development across Government.
