A Voice for Members
BACS provides a voice for member companies through engagement in the UK with Government, the regulators and other stakeholders, and through European representation.
In the UK, BACS is active in the work of the Chemicals Regulatory Forum (CRF), whose members include other trade associations, representing companies operating in other sectors of the chemical supply chain, Government Departments and the regulators.
At the European level, BACS is a member of the British Business Bureau (BBB), which is part of the Confederation of British Industry and is based in Brussels. BBB services include the provision of information on relevant European legislative and policy developments and the arrangement of lobbying meetings with members of the European institutions.
BACS is also a member of the European Federation for Cosmetic Ingredients (EFfCI). EFfCI membership provides COSRAM members with a UK voice on regulatory issues affecting companies supplying ingredients to the personal care and cosmetics industry.
