A Voice for Members
BACS provides a voice for member companies through engagement in the UK with Government, the regulators and other stakeholders, and through European representation.
In the UK, BACS is active in the work of the Chemicals Regulatory Forum (CRF), whose members include other trade associations, representing companies operating in other sectors of the chemical supply chain, Government Departments and the regulators.
At the European level, BACS is an Affiliate member of the European Chemical Industry Council (Cefic). Cefic is the voice of the European chemical industry in the European Union and the world. In addition to providing information on a wide range of issues, a system of ‘Issue’ and ‘Sector’ groups provides the opportunity to influence the development of Cefic policies.
BACS is also a member of the European Federation for Cosmetic Ingredients (EFfCI). EFfCI membership provides Personal Care Group members with a UK voice on regulatory issues affecting companies supplying ingredients to the personal care and cosmetics industry.
