Personal Care Group

The Personal Care Group (PCG) provides a forum for member companies supplying ingredients to the cosmetic and toiletry industry to keep abreast of relevant regulatory issues and, when appropriate, to formulate positions for lobbying.  BACS' membership of the European Federation for Cosmetic Ingredients (EFfCI) provides PCG members with information on regulatory developments and issues at the European level and the opportunity to contribute to the development of industry positions.  The PCG is the only BACS sector group which requires a subscription for membership, to contribute to the funding of BACS membership of EFfCI.

The PCG also organises, jointly with the Society of Cosmetic Scientists (SCS), seminars on topics of interest to the sector.  Future events include a two day workshop and seminar on "Greener Chemistry for Personal Care", to be held in York in June in association with the University of York's Green Chemistry Centre of Excellence, and a seminar to be held in conjunction with the EFfCI annual conference, which BACS is hosting this year in Manchester in October.
